This 15-acre park was previously the home of the Sarasota Gun Club before all shooting activities were moved to Knight Trail Park in the mid-1980s. The land was originally acquired by Sarasota County in the 1940s. Miss Sarasota Softball has its headquarters here. They are a non-profit organization, providing a recreational fastpitch softball program for all girls age 4 -16. This program is tailored to all levels of play - beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
