Miss Florida All-Stars Tournament Descends Upon Sarasota County for Action-Packed Weekend

50 teams from across the state will convene in this end of year tournament hosted by Miss Sarasota Softball.

The excitement is building as the Miss Florida Softball organization gears up to host the highly anticipated Miss Florida All-Stars Tournament, slated to take place from May 17th to May 19th at the prestigious Miss Sarasota Softball fields. Supported by Visit Sarasota County, this event promises to be a celebration of talent, sportsmanship, and community spirit.

Bringing together 50 elite teams from across the state of Florida, comprising a total of 600 skilled players ranging in ages from 6 to 16, the Miss Florida All-Stars Tournament is the culmination of dedication, hard work, and sheer passion for the game. These teams have earned their spot in the tournament through their outstanding performance in the mid-season tournament, where 135 teams vied for the chance to represent their respective communities.

Under the umbrella of the Miss Florida Softball organization, local leagues including Miss Sarasota Softball, Miss Venice, Miss North Port, Miss Englewood, Miss Palma Sola, and Miss Manatee will be proudly represented at the tournament. This event not only showcases the incredible talent within these communities but also serves as a platform to raise funds for the preservation and expansion of recreational softball programs, both locally and statewide, benefiting young women across Florida.

Contrary to common misconceptions, recreational softball is not just a pastime; it is a highly competitive sport where dedication, skill, and teamwork reign supreme. The Miss Florida All-Stars Tournament offers young athletes the opportunity to come together, form new teams, and compete at a higher level, proving that with proper development and focus on integrity, success is achievable in the recreational softball world.

“Miss Florida Softball was established in 1982. The organization was created to provide young recreational athletes tournament play experience. These opportunities can ignite a competitive spirit in the child, thus significantly enhancing their desire for growth in all aspects of the sport. These events are what families look forward to all year, and help create childhood memories that last a lifetime,” said Stephanie Roberts, president of Miss Sarasota Softball.

The Miss Florida All-Stars Tournament is not just about winning; it's about fostering a love for the game, building friendships, and empowering young women to reach their full potential both on and off the field. Join us for a weekend of thrilling softball action and witness the future stars of the sport in action.

Admission to the tournament is free and open to the public, with all games taking place at the Miss Sarasota Softball fields, located at 4770 17th St Sarasota, FL 34235.
